So as most of you know from prior reviews I've posted, I'm not a huge fan of serials. I hate to be spoon fed chunks of books with a never ending amount of cliffys, leaving you pulling your hair out and counting the days until you get your next fix. Well this one was well worth the slight feel of frustration for my next fix. FINALLY a serial that isn't 50 pages a piece. There is actually potatoes with this meat. I finished each one feeling mostly satisfied but still excited for the next installment. There will be 7 total in this series and the 4th is due out today 7/8. Yes my 1-click finger will no doubtedly be picking that one up here shortly, but I thought I'd get my thoughts down on 1-3 before moving on.
What would you do if you only sister was kidnapped and sold in a human traffic ring? For Dr. Sloane Romera there is nothing she wouldn't do. That even means meeting a strange man at a hotel in return for information of her sister Alexis' whereabouts. Giving in too giving herself for one night to a stranger seems well worth getting her baby sister back. In her encounter that fateful night Sloane did not see this arrogant, confident stranger but she will never forget him. When the deal turns out to be a lost cause and no information is found Sloane begins to come to terms that she may never see her sister again. Two years later she's working as a resident in the ER when a strange man brings a suicide victim in. There is something scary and intimidating about this man. When she begins to talk with him his voice is eerily familiar and Sloane instantly knows that this is the man that has haunted her dreams and fantasy for two long years. There is one problem Zeth is not a knight in shinning armor. He's a criminal and involved with some shady people and some questionable extra curricular activities. There is no doubt there is a pull from both sides and the good doctor will have her world turned upside down, her life put in danger and her boundaries pushed to their limits from this bad boy all in the quest to save her sister.
Bravo I can't say enough about this series. So much crazy stuff happens I can't even begin to explain. I can't wait to see where this series ends up because I have to say the way book 3 ended....... I'm on pins and needles.
We are two insane avid readers. We have lots of opinions about our fictional book friends and decided our very own book blog was the perfect outlet. While Laura reads more Sci Fi / Mystery, Shannon leans to the romance (and let's be honest smexy smut). We both meet in the middle with our obsession for YA series intended for 15 year olds (Don't Judge :) ). So with a little of this and a lot of that our blog was born. Hope you enjoy our opinions and have fun sharing our love of a good book!
